New 'RICS Homebuyer Report - Survey' now available
With effect from November 2016 we are now able to offer a new type of survey report - The RICS Homebuyer Report - Survey. This report is broadly the same as the RICS Homebuyers Report - Survey and Valuation, which many house purchasers will be familiar with. However, the new report does not include the valuation element. This makes the RICS Homebuyer Report - Survey ideal for those who have already had a valuation for mortgage purposes, or are confident in the agreed purchase price, and do not wish to pay for a part of the report that is not needed. The report itself is fuller than the RICS Home Condition Report, which is the briefest form of survey and does not contain advice, it simply comments upon the condition of the building. With an increasing number of products now available we are pleased to advise clients on the type of report that is best suited to the house being purchased before taking instructions.
Christmas 2016
The office will be closing at the end of the day on Thursday 22nd December for the Christmas holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2017.
Major Milestone
On 1st October 2016 Tim Joinson passed a significant milestone having completed 30 years as a Chartered Surveyor. Back in 1986 there was no email or internet. Survey reports were typed manually. The Channel Tunnel was just an idea. Alex Ferguson was appointed manager of Manchester United. Inflation fell to 3.4% and interest rates peaked at 11.5%. Two major property booms and property recessions have taken place in the intervening period. Last year was the most successful year in the company's history. Congratulations to Tim on his achievement.
